I love looking at pictures and choosing them for my myspace page. What's a career for me? |
I am thinking of a career in advertising? Is there such a job as people who just pic out the pictures for a magazine? How about other options?I dont think I want to be a photographer, but I want to work with photography. Maybe web desigh? I dont know that I love computers that much though.... Help!!! If it's for photography only, you can look into Photo Editor for Magazines and Stock Agencies such as http://creative.gettyimages.com/source/h... or http://pro.corbis.com/ Within the Advertising Agency structure, here are some titles as well: Media Buyer Creative Director Art Director These titles have the opportunity to edit pictures. However, the two latter titles usually come up with concepts for layouts and campaigns in a number of different media, i.e. radio, television, print and web. They are also well versed in a number of different design application programs. So a love for working on computers is essential. They may direct photographers, designers, etc. as well, to make a concept come to fruition. best bet is advertising, but dont think theres that easy of a job out there, and if there is, it cant pay that well. advertising Looking at pictures isn't really a skill that's marketable. But if you must, look into graphic design. You could try marketing, which includes advertising and web design. It's a little more business-y than just the latter two, but if you like it, you can move pretty fast in the field and make a nice amount. Also, most companies like people with marketing behind them for the flexibility rather than a focused field. personal opinion & my best friend is majoring in marketing @ a business college Graphic Design, you basically organize layouts for web pages, magazines and newspapers etc. |
