I was approached by a photographer for Playboy magazine (Slovakia)? |
He told me they wanted American college coeds. He did not promise me anything. He said that I had to interview and do test shoots and if they liked it, I get to go to Europe, and stay at exclusive hotels. If they use my pics, I get paid a nice amount of money. He told me if I was interested, I should come down to one of their local offices, but I thought Playboy only had offices in LA and Chicago... Might I add, the photographer is a Slovakian college student from Yale. However, I do not want to write him off just because he's in college bc, companies do hire students as interns and then to advertise/scout for them. So How do I find out if he's legit? Do i need a lawyer? Thanks in advance. Hi, Get his full name and contact playboy. They can't give you any personal information, but they can tell you whether he works there or not. Don't just take his word for it. BE SAFE. If he says we're doing a photo shoot in my van, do not get in. You're obviously questioning his legitimacy, go with your instincts and be sure he is who he says he is before you agree to anything. Check that out very carefully...sounds like a scam. By all means get some representation and possibly contact a talent agency to find out abut the legitimacy. My first queston would be, if they want pics for an American Magazine, why would they fly me to Europe? Hi,,,, sounds like Bull Sh*t to me... be aware.....and tell your friends also.... If this is a scam, and it sure sounds like one, Playboy will be able to set you straight. They'd also like to hear about someone, or a group of people, using their reputation for illicit purposes. Of course it could be legit. Then Playboy would tell you as much. You could probably find a good address for your correspondence in any monthly magazine. Maybe even an email address. Get confirmation from Playboy before you do anything! Sounds like B.S., an established magazine like Playboy would have REAL professional photographers and will not be using some college student. Fake, Not true, Dont go there, unless you just want to go for a thrill of an unknown fantasy of a wannabe who might want to use you and get into your underwear by using one of the oldest tricks in the world. get a lawyer and make sure to check the veracity of the stidio or office. |
