Here is my problem,
This is my second year advertising my wedding photography. Last year I did something called "stuff its" at a bridal show. I was able to make a flyer and print 1300+ copies of it. And before the show they would place a 1 flyer in each wedding bag for the show. So when people came into the show they each got a bag that they could carry around and put stuff in from vendors at the show. So this year I am doing it again in my home town of Cleveland with 1700 Flyers for one show. They have another show in Akron that is only 1000 flyers. I have to pay the same about of $495 for each show, to have my flyers placed. Plust the cost to print them. So the difference would be this - $1584.09 to make 2700 flyers and advertise at both the Cleveland and Akron Shows, or $902.79 to print 1700 flyers and advertise at just the Cleveland show ? A price difference of $681.30. Is that worth it for 700 less flyers at another show ? Should I do both or just one show ??? Please advise. I think there is too much competition at those shows. I went to one and there were probably over 50 photographers there. I would do one. Best way as a bride to find a photographer is through word of mouth so you could try to offer an incentive to your brides of a free portrait session, egagement pics, family photo session etc if she refers someone. Also lots of brides look online at the the knot .com. don't know how expensive it is to advertise on there. But if you are a small company with good prices list your prices on your website cause a lot of people don't do that. |
