Need ideas how to promote my photography print business using very little money? |
I sell my photographs i take of sunsets and things but i havnt had to much luck... I need a way to advertise any ideas how to promote it with little headache/money ( any online places ?? ) Craigslist is good because you can list for free. Myspace is better (believe it or not, it's a great place to network and promote). try advertising on websites craig's list, photolinks and the likes www.craigslist.com www.photolinks.com www.abosolutearts.com MySpace! www.myspace.com myspace is a great spot you can look up kids by schools. i also used to find the most popular graduating Senior in the class at school and offer them a free set of wallets for every referral they brought in. you wouldn't believe how fast your name can get around if you offer something different. i did outside shots and didn't charge any extra at their favorite spots. they loved it and i made up the extra cost in print orders. I've also had friends who do high end weddings who swear by joining the national associations and getting their names on the website list that people can pull up from zip codes. but it never did much for me. i guess it depends on what your really specializing in. find a company that sells cards ready for you to put your pics in. you can also have them or you can make up your own saying in the cards. on the back of your cards sign your name. buy a rack just one to start out with and display it in a hobby store,art store or just any place that sells specialty items.you will be surprised what that can do for you.you need to be a good photographer,and take pic of things that will capture peoples interest. |
