Whats a good website to advertise my photography business for free? make a myspace page for JUST the business...dont allow all your friends to post cute little glittery things and such, it wont look too professional, put some samples of photo's that you've taken up on the pages! ask your friends & family to post the link to your page as a bulletin, and ask their friends to do the same, you'd be surprised how far that can go! good luck. You can try www.craigslist.com Don't go there. Free web hosting comes with its own price, namely ads for other companies on your site. This does not look very professional. There are web providers whose prices for small sites are very low. I have one that costs me $3 per month including my domain name. This is a small price to pay for making it my own. While there are certainly lots of places to advertise for free on the Internet, my experience is that they are a complete waste of time. You'd be much better off promoting your business locally. Join your local Business Networking International business group. Offer to do photography for local non-profit groups in exchange for exposure. Approach stores in your area NOW about doing Santa photos. We have a local nursery that does that for their customers and it's always a big hit, but it gets harder and harder to find someone who is willing to do it.
