Advertising Photography, Art Photo, Journalism Photo or Fashion Photo? Which can make a lot of money?$$? |
i'm jobless since i'm grad in photo. i need some advice which is the best for me in present n' future... :( ...im on the same boat. havnt graduated, but i should start thinkin bout it. ...id suggest makin bussines cards n passin them out to whomever u know, n giv them to pass out to others. maybe ull get small photo shoot jobs that will giv u at least sum income. good luck! :) Just getting started I would dabble in all areas to keep max cash flow coming in. Art can give you a lot of money with a lot of time invested. I remember one of my first photos sold for just short of 100.00 at auction. On payscales.com they listed a 10-15 per hours for standard photography. If you did fashion shots for magazines consider being paid much higher rate. Candid shots of celebs pay a lot but you have some competition. I have seen these photos sell for 60k,80k etc. Car magazines pay people 200-500 a shot of cars not yet public. You do stake outs in Detroit near known test areas. Doing portraits in peoples homes can pay more when catering to the high end. |
