What's the major differences, in terms of usage and results, between a 35mm and a large format 70mm camera?

I've worked with 35mm film, but never with 70mm, and am looking a job that features aerial photography using the company's large format film camera. What should I expect?

Well, a camera is a camera I will say. What the Format you speak of do is allow for better resolution. A 35 mm negative you may be able to make a nice 8x10 picture, I have done these with good results. Anything large and you tend to get a blurred image. With a 70 mm you can make posters like you see on walls and they still maintain clarity and detail.
Study about Movies and how their film works. You go to a regular Theater and watch a movie. Then go to an Imax Theater and watch a movie. Then you will see the difference between 35 mm and 70 mm.
