Do you go to art museums,and galleries?

Do people actually not go????

Sorry, but I cannot relate to a reality where people do not go to museums and galleries on a regular basis.

What about art events? Installations? Churches? Archaeological sites? Galleries and museums are not the only places where we can view art.

i have before, i can wander through them for hours!

I have been to the Getty museum (I hope I'm spelling that right) a couple years ago (it's in Southern California, though I'm not sure which city). It blew me away. Fantastic.
And this summer I went to the Norman Rockwell museum in Massachussetts. That was very cool, as well. I wish I had more money; I'd go to one every weekend!

i love art museums..well museums in general are fun.

Yes..not as often as I'd like--but it's OK-right now I'm on a roll and need to make art for my patrons. I'm fairly immersed into it anyway--as I teach art...When I go--I don't just look to see how creative people USED to be-I think about politics, history, and music of that time period--who were the patrons for that artist..and why --and how they created that piece..particularly since I know how. I also consider how that Art affected history...The Renaissance or the Reformation wouldn't have happened without it-or those patrons.

People didn't just used to be creative a long time ago--I believe we still are..Right now!!!!

Yes, when ever I can. I don't live near a Museum. It is amazing how much different a picture can look in person. Books help but they are nothing like the real thing.

Yes, and I'm very fortunate to work in an art museum. I also love to travel and sometimes base trips on not only which museums I want to visit but also which paintings I want to see. The aesthetic value of art definitely adds to life in my opinion. And I agree wholeheartedly that pictures of art just don't compare to the real works. For example, to see Van Gogh's thick layers of paint is to feel his emotions - something you just can't get seeing a print.
