Is it common for art gallery curators to want to see artist home? |
Im new to the art gallerie world. Ive created enough pieces so now I'm sending out sample booklets with my work to galleries. Now a curator wants to set up a meeting to see my place. Is this common practice in the art world? im really excited but then again i want to be carefull. Wanting to see your home would be unusual. Wanting to see your studio (where you create the work) is fairly common. It would also depend on the nature of your work (studio visits are less important if you're doing watercolors but very important if you do installation sculptures.) |
