I live in Chelsea / West Village, NYC and moving to London. Im looking for same atmosphere in LDN. Pls advise. |
Im not gay, love music, love the arts and the galleries that Chelsea has to offer. I love the tree lined blocks of West Village. I am a scruffy intellectual type that needs to surroundings of similar type. Looking to spend from 200 to 300. I think you'd find it tough to find something affordable in central London in an equivalently "classy" area to Chelsea/ West Village in New York. I think your best bet for that sort of atmosphere would be to consider one of the "market" areas, like around Portobello Market, or Camden Market, or even Spitalfields Market or Greenwich Market. Although they can be rather scruffier than Chelsea / West Village, they have that sort of artistic, cosmopolitan, "cafe culture" sort of feel, especially at the weekends. Sorry - I think I pasted the wrong link for the Spitalfields map. If you look up "Spitalfields Market" or "Brushfield Street" on www.streetmap.co.uk, London Streets search, that will show you the area. It's near Liverpool Street rail station. Um, thats tough. For music and arts you need central London, but not many trees. |

I've not been in the build since it opened as a museum, but it used to be the main post-office building. It is at 919 Broadway Nashville, TN 37203, near the old central train station. ... 1. Some kind of great piece of old artwork thats rarely in the country! 2. No, last one was National Gallery 4 years ago! 3. Not really, I think you are either interested in art or youre not!... Art is an actual picture. An illistration is like an outline. Decorative art is the same as art but with a lot of decorative objects like pictures and fruit and apples. ...The style is reminiscent of Paul Klee only darker. Joan Miro, maybe? New edit: I popped over to the National Gallery of Art and looked it up for you. Joan Miro, "Woman." You can see... to much for my brain to handle sorry =[ ...i prefer my girl wear mini skirt and and sleeve less shirt ...you can get a good idea from how these artists have written their own: ... ... |
