Are you a japanese drama addict? help me out?

I watched this Japanese drama i think almost 10-12 years ago. It doesn't have any english subtitles but I guess I understood it at that time. It's about a girl who paints angels who is in love with this guy but her bestfriend steals him away by pretending she was pregnant by him. They are in some sort of acting/drama/play organization and they have a lot of friends. I think her name was Akira? I don't remember the details but the song at the end was BEN and When The Saints are Marching IN. I think..... I hope someone can help me find the title as I really want to watch this again. The story goes on that she meets this gallery owner and she becomes his lover I think but then she starts to paint really dark and gloomy art not unlike the cheerful ones she used to paint..... THANK YOU! I hope someone can help me figure the title.

I'm more into Korean dramas and Chinese martial arts films. I like Japanese anime though. I didn't even know that the Japanese were known for their dramas until recently. They're certainly not known for their meaningful, quality movies. Most are just B monster movies with very little plot. Though I did enjoy Rashoman a lot.
