Animal cruelty as a display of art ??????

Why is Guillermo Vargas Habacuc getting away with such cruelty?
This is a very serious matter...

In 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery, and starved him to death.

For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony, until eventually he died.

Although the museum and artist claimed that the dog was being starved, after intense criticism the museum eventually admitted that the animal was being cared for off hours.

While I question the artist's methods, the point was that people cared passionately and deeply for the animal in the museum, but would walk past and ignore an animal on the street.

To that end, the point is valid. No animal should be allowed to suffer; we need to do better at caring for all of the animals around us.

That's horrific. Makes me feel sick.

I hope what wetcpu wrote was true, but I diagree in the fact that if it were in the street "we" would ignore it. I wouldn't and I know a million others that wouldnt either, but there are those that would and the sad thing is that there are people that do that to their own pets...how would we see they were doing that? The problem in the world is the people that own pets and the fact they are not responsible for them, humans are the reason there is a homeless animal problem in the world.

How is this possible...how can he get away with it...where are all the animal activists and where is PETA, maybe no one notified the proper people. I wont even go to the link cause animal cruelty takes a piece away from me every time I see the poor silent animal, silent with no voice to say please don't hurt me. It is horrific.

That is sick and awful what kind of person would do that. If I would have been there I would have let the poor dog go.
