People who are interested in arts and culture...? |
What kind of places do you guys go to find out about events, get involved, or become inspired?? (bookstores/community centres/galleries/etc..??) You can look online. I live in Florida so I go to visitflorida.com As far as the inspiration goes museums are great. I do a lot of knitting and to get inspired for that I go to fibre and yarn shops. Inspiration is EVERYWHERE I learned that from my photography. I started taking odd angles of common place things and came up with the most amazing photos. Bookstores are good, but the best thing is to figure out what museums and galleries are in your city and get on their mailing lists. the internet! always check out the local stuff first. check out the arts sections of your city / local sites online and in the papers of course. go to the library you can find out a buncha stuff there also along with them being interested in showcases some art themselves. find out who in business in your community does sponsors for art and galleries. city hall should have information also and any posters, brochures and notices up. :D |
