What coloring materials should i use if i want to make my work look smooth or somewhat shiny?

i'm a young aspiring artist and i want to make clean and smooth looking works without the use of photoshop. frankly because i'm not very good with digi-art and more skilled with traditional works. so far, i'm already quite familiar with watercolor pencils and colored pencils, but i still want to explore new techniques and materials. if you'd like to see some of my work my DA account is http://sarusham.deviantart.com/gallery/...

Try working on shiny paper with pencil or markers. Also try to put gloss gel midium over your work , but be careful not to smage. Gel midium will give you a shiny film over your work. Source(s): http://www.piotrart.com
