I need good advice?

im really good at art and drawing but i dont want do this for the rest of my life people say i should be an artist, gallery owner, or a cartoonist its just a hobbie its not my passion what i really on to be is an obstruction i want a career not a job what should i do or any solution that im making me and my family happy

It is your life, not anyone else. I have a daughter who has been an artist since first grade. That is all she ever wanted to be. She knew that being a commercial artist and selling her work, was a 1 in 1000 proposition of ever being successful. She went into Industrial Design and does very well designing for other people. But she still has HER art.

We never wanted her to go into art, not because of talent, but because we knew what life is like for an artist.

On the other end we have a son with the same talent, he is a laser operator. He never wanted a career in art, to him it is a hobby. He enjoys machining, and working with his hands.

Do what you want, not what other people want you to do. What might be talent to them, might be ordinary to others. If you want your art as a hobby, do it. You never know when that hobby will turn into a career. Source(s): http://www.hmewrk4u.com
