Wha questions To ask an artist?

i am going for an art exibition on sunday at Jahangir gallery and i have a assignment to ask the artist some questions related to his work . so please tell me some commonly asked questions

3 questions about himself. Such as: Where do you do your work? Do you work from life, or from photographs or from imagination? What moves you most in life, either to inspire or upset you?

3 about art: Where do you feel art is going? What is the role of the artist in society? What is the palce of your work in society?

3 about technique: What technique do you use? Which is more important to you, the subject of your painting, or the way it is executed? Do you prefer a perfect smooth technique or a more energetic expressive technique and why?

1 to test him. Why is your work so ugly? or so pretty? or so academic? ...you get the idea, something to put him on the defensive and to explore his own thinking.
1.) What or who inspired them to paint? Or even a certain painting.
2.) Does any of their painting have a deeper meaning?
3.) (If there are ppl in it) Who are they?
4.) If very colorful, with lots of different colors...(do colors mean something to them)

Hope that helps some. Good luck!
How do u feel when you are letting your emotions loose on the canvas? Do you see yourself changing the face of art, like for example Michelangelo? How did you discover your talent for art? What motivates you? Out of all the career choices, do you think your career choice was a good one? What do you enjoy about art? Do you express different feelings when painting (or whateva he does), or do you just paint for the sake of painting?
Where comes your inspiration from when you are painting?
When you create a painting have you ever wanted to live it in when it was done?
I am a painter and the questions I most like to answer are about my motivation and inspiration. "What do you think is the most important influence in your art?". Or "What is more important; content or technique?" Or ""How important is the subject matter to your artwork?" Or "Do you work certain hours each day or only when you are inspired to work?" Any one of these should start him off on an interesting oration and he'll thank you afterwards for the question.
