I'm bring my 60-something parents to Ottawa for their first time. Apart from the usual Parliament Hill / Byward / Rideau / museums and art galleries, what is an interesting thing to see. What's off the beaten path?
I'm going to Ottawa tomorrow, Friday. Born and raised in Ottawa. I know you mentioned Parliament Hill, have you seen the changing of the guard. Ive never seen horse drawn carriage rides in Ottawa like the person mentioned above, I could be wrong. But yes the Gatineau Park is beautiful. I don't recall anything interesting in the Glebe but my sisters old high school. How about Sparks street its like an outdoor mall. Last time I was there we went on an amphibious boat bus ride through Ottawa and the Ottawa River. I don't know where your coming from but there are some great casinos in Hull, Quebec. Anyways maybe I might bump into you. Enjoy yourself. |
