What is the difference in the signatures on photos........?

In art galleries I have seen some photos/paintings that are signed with just the artist's name and others that have the artist's name, copyright symbol & the year. Why are they different?

None, a photograph is still copyrighted even if you don't put the symbol on it. And signing is up to the individual photographer.
answers may vary,
originals usually just have Sig's and year date,
copyright and full date may refer to copies or prints
of originals
usually the ones that are very proud of what they did, sign it
