Anyone familiar with artist A. Barbalonga? |
Have an original oil painting entitled "Laguna Veneziana" by A. Barbalonga. Research on the net shows me two artists named Barbalonga, one 100 or so years ago, one more recent. We can eliminate the older one cause the canvas doesn't appear to be that old. It has the artist's signature on the back. It was given to me as a gift and I was told that it was worth some money. I would like to have it appraised. Have tried art galleries here in Italy and none of them want to bother with it...I received no replies. Hope someone out there can help!! Thanks! Before you sell it get some info. regarding the painter. Get a photograph done of the piece and go to www.photobucket.com and post it for free It may be quite valuable so I would not consider selling it on E-Bay. You could research a little on the site if you wanted to but I would recommend the following sites for info. and pricing.They should be able to help you further but as previously mentioned, get good photos of your piece.
