not bad, however you still need to work on facial proportions, but if you keep practicing it will come to you.

drawing from real life is always best, you should practice on peoples faces, you will see a major improvement from look ing at a magazine cutout, or any other flat photograph,
it is most likely why your portraits of mila, A jolie, and duff, look flat. I know it is the internet so I couldnt get the best view so they are probably have more depth then the screen allows, but they are fairly good likenesses. work from life, you will see the benefit. I think your talent is incredible.....Like your portraits best.....you draw women beautifully.....
Yeah, these are really good. I think you should rather to try and make up your own material however. To copy something as well as you are is difficult, but to create something like that on your own is the test of a truly talented artist. (Sorry if you didn't copy, just looks like you did) But overall they are really good, try new material like environments and "big picture" scenes to mix it up. Keep practicing! (not in a bad tone)
Interestingly...the work you seem to like less I thought to be one of your stongest pieces. - The Girl (upside down) I thought had the best proportion and far and away the best "feeling"

Lots of potential in your work. I suggest you get an anatomy book and study/draw the head from bone/muscle perspectives and you'll find that you will see exterior detail differently.

Good work...keep drawing !
It's very nice. Not quite Jim Warren. Technically more than competent, but it looks like a lot of contemporary stuff, so maybe you need a different tack, or more imagination. "Girl" with just her face upside-down, is not very special, now, is it?

You've been asking this question every few months for the last ten months. Ask again in about a year.
Wow, I really love your portraits. I wish that I could draw like that, but I'm not that good at the human form. Of all your portraits, that ones that really stand out to me are "Baby", "Mila Kunis", "Kate Beckinsale", "My First Portrait", and "Hand".

The compositions are excellent, and I love how you render the hair, and make the eyes look so expressive, especially in "Mila Kunis", the eyes are awesome. The great thing about working with pencil is that you can render great details which are unachievable in other mediums, such as charcoal. But pencil is also very difficult, since you have to cover a large portion of the paper and it takes a long time, depending on the size of the drawing. You've done a great job with the details in all your portraits.

Portrait drawing is so difficult--I had to take figure drawing last year and it was the hardest class I had ever taken. Even my professor said that it's the hardest aspect of the art field, and not a lot of people are really good at it--I know many people, including some art professors, who have a very difficult time with figures and portraits.

While you've been practicing your drawing over the past couple of years, it's obvious that you have a wonderful natural talent for drawing the human form--you should really consider being an artist, if you haven't already. From the work in your gallery, it looks like you would make a great portrait artist.
