I'd like an art critic (don't need any professionals)? |
In my spare time when I'm not making or watching amv's on youtube, sending messages on myspace, watching webtoons or reading web comics I'm drawing and I don't know if I'm good but I think I'm pretty good for a begginer but I'm still wanting to know HOW good I am so I came here where you can ask a question and everyone will see it (well not everyone but alot) so I'm asking everyones opinion on my drawings here http://strawhat2123.deviantart.com/... at my gallery. oh one thing you should know my gallery is mostly cartoons but i do have one thats more artsy. Gulfbreeze thinks you draw *very* well! Save it all! Even if you store it in an old shoebox...it will mean so much in years to come. Source(s): Gulfbreeze draws too, but not as good as you do. thx 4 da points If you want to go into the art industry or go to an art school, the advice I would give you is stop draw cartoons and start drawing from life. (People, pets, bowls of fruit.) Trust me, things will look bad in the beginning but you'll get better in the long run! If you're just drawing for fun and to pass time, then I would tell you to try working with some regular paper instead of lined or tracing. It will make your art have a new quality to it! I enjoyed your own personal designs more than the ones from other cartoons. Go for your designs, you could never go wrong! And of course, the more you draw the better you will get! Good luck! (I really tried to help, please don't think I was being mean or something. :() I love them... Keep it up. If you really want to go into the industry, I agree with another answer you have, start drawing realistic also... don't stop with your great cartoons... especially if that is your goal. But when I was in art school, there were some really talented cartoonist and they generally drew realistically very well also. I think you're doing very well. Your lines look smooth and well done, and your proportions are great. Keep practicing and I'm sure you'll improve! :D Why do you specify no "professionals." If you really want to know how good you are, pros are EXACTLY who you need to hear from. Yahoo Answers provides a unique forum for pros and amatuers to get together and discuss each others work and potential. What you do NOT want is for some dreamy eyed kid to write that "Ooooh! Your ponies are so pretty!" or, "Wow, that really looks like it does on Naruto!" You can rest assured that, at least, this one pro is paying attention to what you write. I will NOT click on the link and will NOT comment on the quality of your work. |
