I have been cheated on the internet. I was defrauded over the internet. Can someone help me? |
Hello. My name is Sunny(Jasnain Singh). A person emailed me some days ago saying he works for an Art gallery in England. He wanted to cash his payments here in US $'s and keep 10% of it and send the rest through Western Union or Moneygram. The first payment I sent was not picked up, but the checks came out to be counterfeit. I have returned that money to the bank because my account was in -. But I've sent one more payment and it has been picked up and now the person wont contact me. If I dont get the money back, my account will be in - again, and its around -2000.00$'s and I will be doomed. How can I resolve this. Im afraid if I file a complaint on Internet Fraud website then they might call my house and ask me all sorts of questions. Please anyone help me. I am very worried. Thank you. Hate to say this - but you're screwed bro. There is not a damn thing you can do about it - you gave them the money, plain and simple. especially since it is across international borders... Listen up people - if the "deal" sounds too good to be true,thats because IT IS! No one from Africa wants to split $10M with you if you send your bank acct info. No one wants you to cash their checks and keep 10%. Get real - dont be a fool. The reason that these con games work is because people are generally GREEDY - if you werent in such a hurry to make the free cash, you would have thought about it for a minute. You got what you deserved. You got fooled by a con man becuse you were gullible to believe that he really wanted you to cash checks. Chalk it up to experience and DONT DO IT AGAIN. You need to talk to your bank. You may also have to talk to the police. You most likely will never see your money again. Get off the computer and call the bank NOW. |
