What do I wear for a 60's themed Singles Night (without looking like Austin Powers)? |
I'm off on a 60's themed Singles Night at Manchester Art Gallery, and I would like to know what to wear. I know that 60's dress is optional, but I'd at least like to fit in visually. The real me kinda comes out when I'm more comfortable, and I'm more comfortable when I know that I fit in. It's my first Singles Night ever, so I'd like some suggestions on what not to do - without stating the obvious. Any ideas? The night is 14th February (no points for guessing why.) You'll find something there that you will be comfortable in. lots of fake tan..white suit..gold medallion and gelled hair..think John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. Go to Cardiff and have a look at what they are wearing as it is exactly the same! John Travolta was the 70's........... wear white or bright coloured trousers.. tight fitting. and bright gawdy patterened shirt open a little at neck. suedette shoes As the 2 ladies above me have already said 'John Travolta'.
