What does B.A.T. stand for in the lower left corner of a giclee print?

The art gallery proprietor said it was an abbreviation for a french phrase that meant artists pick, but I have been unable to validate that.

It stands for bon-a-tirer, meaning that it is a full size proof accepted by the artist that is used as the standard for comparing all subsequent prints. Basically, the artist said, yeah this looks enough like my work that I'll give it my seal of approval.
