Should I apply to NYU? I got a 1510 on my SATs and I have a GPA of 4.3. Do I have a chance of getting in? |
I heard from one of my teachers that NYU has excellent arts and academics programs and I was wondering if I have a chance of getting in. I am in the poetry club, newspaper staff, peer leaders, national honors society, art club, am currently volunteering at an art gallery for a upcoming exhibition, have volunteered to design a book cover, and am participating in a summer employment program for a second year. I am currently taking AP English and am going to take my AP exams for English, Calculus, and History. Do I have a chance of getting into NYU? Should I even apply? If that's a 1510 out of 1600 then you definately have a chance of getting in. Also with your strong credentials and extra-cirricular activites you seem to be a well-rounded candidates which all colleges like to see. NYU requires SAT IIs so take some (maybe history and english since you are in those APs) and do well on them. Tisch and Stern are the hardest programs to get into at NYU so if you aren't applying to either of those you have a great shot. Good luck! no u dnt deserve to get in.. Go ahead, NYU loves geeks. I got in with less creds 30 years ago. If that what you got on the new SAT then no you shouldn't apply because it won't be high enough, and NYU wont care about your 4.3 because that is a weighted GPA, they'll want to know your unweighted GPA. Yes. You definatley have a chance. I know people who got in with far less. Go for it. And start looking at financial aid right now. NYU is extremely expensive. |
