im back from ma. and im looking for this so called art scene i keep hearing about in new haven. i dont know new haven very well.. obviously but i'd like hangout and be with other artists. any galleries or events in downtown new haven area would be great.
There are always art events going on downtown. Check out http://www.infonewhaven.com/ for a list of events. Also, check out Book Trader on Chapel St downtown. There's always quirky, artisty, fun people there. It's a used book store and coffee shop....probably one of my favorite places in the city. Also, check out Koffee on Audubon St. It's a great little coffee place in the art's district. In York Square (over by urban outfitters) there's also a gallery for New Haven artists...never been there but I am sure it's a good place. they probably have events every so often. Of course, there's also the Yale art museums on chapel st too. good luck. |
