I know that Yahoo will soon be dropping the Yahoo photos, and so I signed up for the Flickr photo site. I just don't want all those old photos and graphics to be moved to the new site. Does anyone know if that's the plan, or will those photos just be gone, and we start fresh on a new site........either Flickr or Kodak Gallery? The problem with the Yahoo Photos is that it not only saved photos that you sent out, but also photos that you received, and every little graphic piece of art. There are so many items on mine, that I couldn't find something if I wanted to.
You may be referring to 2 separate things. The "My Photos" and "My Attachments" are things from your emails that are stored on your email account. You can delete these yourself. Click on the "My Photos" link. At the top of the view pane, click the "Message View" link. Find the messages that the photos are attached to (usually ones in the SENT folder are the troublemakers!). DELETE the messages and the photos will go away as well. This is the ONLY way to get rid of them, is to delete the message they are attached to. Same is true of attachments.
The Yahoo Photos site is closing and they will delete all the photos THERE when the time comes. I've already changed from Yahoo Photo to flickr -- and my new email photo attachements are still showing up in "My Photos" on my email, though my Yahoo Photo site is closed. |
