The Barcelona Galeria Art-Works SL and its dealer Toni Van Schaik have disappeared along with my 6 paintings and the art of about 20 other artists. We have reported this to the Barcelona police.
Have you had a gallery scam you? If so, what steps did you take to get your work back?
I think you are on the right track, Start with the police do some of your own investigative work too. You have to treat it like any other theft, no other way around it. I am sorry for your loss, Good luck in finding your work.
You might want to contact Interpol, too, to see if he has an international history of this.
