Is it possible to have my university fine art degree grade re-marked?

i've just received my grade for my degree in fine art and I didnt get the grade i need to do a masters. can i spply to get it re-marked and is there any point carrying on with art, will employers or galleries even consider me with a 2.2. Im so angry as I feel i deserved a better grade!

This will depend on the regulations of your university. Most seem to have a regulation that a student can't appeal just on the basis of a difference of opinion - there needs to be something more substantial (e.g. victimisation, racism, difficult circumstances that should have been taken into account, etc). You shouldn't go down this route unless you do have good grounds.

It may be disappointing, but it needs to be remembered that the academics are employed, in part, to make this type of decision. Assessments are also quality controlled through the use of examiners from outside the university.

I suggest your student union should be your first port of call - they will probably be familiar with your problem and may be able to advise and support you if appropriate. Source(s): 20 years as an academic.
Are you talking about a grade in a single class or for a single test? If so, you have the right to talk to the professor and discuss reviewing your grades if you feel they're unfair or incorrect.

If you're talking about all your coursework for your degree, I'm sorry to say you're stuck with what you've got. Your best option right now is to find out who your faculty advisor is and ask him/her to review your transcripts and talk to you about what you can do to get into a master's program. That person will know more about your situation than anyone on Answers.
