I am an artist (johnmcgraneart.com) who does not really make art that is archival or gallery friendly. I continue to make art because I enjoy it but do not really know what to do to advance as an artist. I like my non-art job ok but it means that I can't really go to residencies or leave Richmond. Any advice on having a meaningful art career?
Have you tried selling as a self-representing artist on eBay? Tons of people are. It's very cheap to list a work, and for an extra fee, you can place a reserve on it (meaning you won't sell it for less than that figure). Best of luck to you! |
