Why don't I see a lot of watercolor in art galleries? Why don't I ever see watercolor nudes?

water colour application lansacpe - is so real. but nude part of it you get perfection in human figure - it shows blurd in water color. oil colour is best for nude
You don't see alot of w/c in galleries because it's often associated with little blue haired ladies. I think that's changing. The works on paper held by museums are usually not shown due to their comparative frailty and sensitivity to UV light . Emil Nolde did w/c nudes as did Georgia O'Kieff and Malcolm Morley, but you are right...there aren't many. Most nudes done in a transparent medium are made in pen and ink.
