How do you start your art career in los angeles? |
I NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO SUBMIT ART AND WHERE TO GO WERE I COULD TALK TO LOCAL ARTIST AND ART GALLERY OWNERS.ALSO,IF THERE ANY PLACE WHERE TO SELL ARAND BUY ART SUPPLIES TOO. When I was in L.A. I stumbled across an amazing art fair in the street. Everyone had beautiful unique paintings, sculptures, metalwork, jewelry, the whole spectrum of creativity. It seemed like a good way to sell art while getting exposure鈥揳nd also for meeting a ton of other artists who can give you valuable info. They seem to be open to new artist's works. L.A. is a tough market. Check out the local L.A. Weekly for art openings and check the ones out that look like they exhibit new artist. The Glass Garage looks pretty good as well.. You will meet more artist at openings too. Art supplies to buy...would look at the Internet for that...get lower prices on the things you need. You should get yourself a good manager, like myself. Who will be able to take care of you and get you some work...like a pimp. But no, an art pimp.
