Abstract art explanation ...? |
I saw it in some art-gallery, it was nothing but some patches of black on a off-white canvas. What does it mean? Abstract Art is a matter of personal perception and preference. What appears as black patches to u, may not appear as 'black patches' to others. It may signify the terrorism that's causing ruins to world. Or, the artist may want to reveal his personal agony through his works. I do have some experiences in this subject. To my utter surprise, it took only 2 months to learn abstract art. Bcoz, this art closely belongs to u & ur imagination. U don't have to bother about the color of sky & u don't have the liability to put blue on it. U can fill it up with red, if u define red as the color of passion 'n u perceive the sky as ur own mind... One thing to say, make individual interpretation 'n don't hesitate to express ur opinion. Just watch it carefully 'n say what comes to ur mind. I guess the painter who painted it,doesn't know it either. art theorists would suggest several approaches . . . the meaning might reside with the artist the meaning might reside with the response by the viewer the meaning might be inherent in the structure of the work the meaning might be a product of the culture or subculture it was produced and received in the painting might be a reflection of society the painting might be an expression of the artists emotions Good luck with your interactions with the art world! It means someone was successful in getting a show. The question to ask is, what does this mean to me? Then the answer may have relevance. Else, find the artist and ask him what he was trying to express. As a certified artist,i think i'm qualified 2 ans ur qns.... its just a showing of the artist emotion and there is no specific ans ,as different person will have different saying toward that art piece... so on the whole,just think whatever that art is....thats no right or wrong! It means whatever you think it means. It's that simple. Rawlyn. Art is subjective. What do YOU think it means? That's the real question and no one can answer it but you. |
