"From 1971 to 1975 Botero rented an apartment on the boulevard de Paris on the Ile de la Cit茅 and divided his time between Paris, Bogot脿 and his new studio in New York on 5th Avenue. In February 1972 his first exhibition at the Marlborough Gallery in New York was held." This would indicate he didn't exhibit at the Marlborough Gallery before 1963, if that's what you mean.
