How should I present my art to a gallery?

I've never shown my work to any galleries before, and about 2 days ago, I was visiting my favorite little gallery when the owner started chatting me up, he asked me to bring some work for review...Should I bring photos, or originals or slides or what the hell is the protocol for something like this? It's a high profile gallery and I dont want to make a bad impression., and I work in paintings if that makes any difference.

take digital pictures on them and place them on a dvd, cheap and an effective way for the work to be viewed
slides are traditional, but digital on a disk is acceptable. i keep mine in 8x10 matt in a leather portfolio and on a flash drive depending on what i'm shmoozing to.
