How and where can i register as copy rights my art photography?

Once that image is captured n your camera, you are the copyright holder.

The copyright office can offer you a registration process, but it will cost a few bucks, and give you no additional legal protection.

Go here and you'll find everything you need to know:

http://www.copyright.gov/

Photoguy is correct; as soon as you capture a photographic image, you instantly have the copyright. Enforcing it is another question entirely, however!

It wasn't always this way; let me research when the concept of taker-gets-the-copyright originated; I am fairly sure it wasn't there until post-World-War-2!

Yes, famous war photographer Robert Capa (and others) founded the MAGNUM Photo Agency in 1947. If I am not mistaken, that agency, more than any other, instilled the current universal acceptance of the key concept of possessing the automatic and instant copyrights to your own photographic image work... And there you have it. They deserve our sincere thanks.
