Is this a good photograph? |
I really like photography...and I'm trying to get better...rate this picture on a scale of 1 - 10 and tell me what you like and dislike about it...Please... The answer to your question is not that straight forward, clear cut or obvious. I tihnk it is okay, like a 6, but not great. I don't really like the way it is cropped and how on the left there is just a little black curtain and a lot more on the right. But, that is just me personally. 6 OOOOH I LOVE it! So pretty! I give you a 8! :) 8/10 what I like is your exposure, this is a likely candidate to blow out the highlights, but you didn't and that's great. What I don't like is all the wasted space to the right. A tighter crop, even a vertical format would have made the image stronger. I like it! 8 As a retired professional sports photographer I would have to ask if the photographer achieved the desired end. In other words did you get what you wanted from the picture? It is obvious use of back lighting but is that what you wanted? If you get the results you desired then it is a 10 or could be less depending on what you were trying to accomplish. Looking at the comments you made with the picture I think it is a good representation of looking back in time. I think it has a lot of personality....i would hang it on my wall I like it a lot. I'd give it a ten because it catches the mind and wondering what is the person looking at and what she thinking. well, everyone seems to do something like that... looking out the window and what not. so, eh. |
