What gift to get an impossible father who collects nothing? He doesn't want anything cheesy, something unique! |
He likes computers, space, photography, tv, technology, high quality gadgets, art. This needs to be something original and interesting! He is an original character and deserves something totally nice and high quality. Help! He likes video games but wouldn't play them alone. He's in his 40's and doesn't have the time for a lot of things that someone younger might. Perhaps a dvd camcorder? XxX Find a 10 piece Tower of Hanoi set (if they exist). Tell him that he can't solve the puzzle! It will keep him busy for weeks. Name a star after him. tickets to a computer fair or event, a car show, umm..a new camera, gift certificate to a computer store, remote control cars or planes A father/daughter day complete with cameras for pictures. Go to Cracker Barrel restaurant gift shop. They have these cool books that go by the year and the significant things that happened in our culture as Americans during that year. Pick the one for the year he was born. I did this for my Mom and Dad one year-they really enjoyed them. He might like a kaleidoscope - they're unique. You can find nice ones. I am big on magazine supscritptions. I am sure that there are pleanty of magazines out there specific to his likes and then he will get something every month for a year! My best gift ever! Play stattion 2 with the disc of Tiger woods golf tournament. Splurge on year and buy him a play station 2 with a few video games. I know I thought my husband wouldn't like it and he loves it when ever we get a bunch together the guys get out the play station and start blowing each other up. How about a subscription to a magazine or two. Schedule a fun day with him. Go to the movies together, a play, bowling, a museum, a hike, the batting cages, a baseball/hockey/basketball/any sporting event -- something you'll both enjoy. At this point, our parents mainly want our time -- not more stuff. Time with our parents is priceless, not just for them but for us too. These! Probably best as stocking stuffers or secret santa. They are cheap and don't look it. I heard about them here bought some and they were a big hit. |
