I've lost my imagination? |
I have poor imagination. Its quite depressing. i cant seem to be creative. Its like Ive lost my drive. Most of my life Ive been into art. Drawing, photography, installations. Now...its as if my creativity has diminished. I can no longer 'feed' my mind creativity. I know it may sound weird but has any one else gone through this? Anyone? Honey, your muse is on vacation. My muse does that to me more than every now and then. So, I am intermittently creative. I suggest you take a break...If you are into yoga or stretching exercises...why not try those. I don't know of any artist that doesn't suffer from this from time to time. Take a time out and go look at other people's art! Go to museums, art galleries, other things that inspire you. Not with a goal in mind ( trying to force yourself to be inspired can cause the inspiration to hide deeper) but just with the thought to go and enjoy what others have done. Give it time, it will return on its own schedule. Creativity needs a constant flow of new life experiences. Do something new and your creative juices will surge once more. Sure, I constantly lose it and then find it again. It's a constant procedure for me and I kinda got used to it somehow, it became part of me. When I lose it it means I lost my motive. So I'm out there looking for one. I don't wanna stay out of motives. I couldn't live without motives. I couldn't create without them. So go get one too. It could be anything, anything works for me as long as it's MY motive. It does wonders to my imagination I'm telling you. Let me know when you find yours cause you will. You definitely will. Maybe you need to just have a week or a weekend that you go away on a sort of holiday somewhere you can relax. Then after this little holiday you can go back and start to see if your imagination comes back. Just remeber not to think about things to come up with, unless they come naturally of course. Or maybe it's just a fase and it will be over soon. I don't know what I'd do without my imagination so I hope that everything goes well for you! |
