As an artist ...? |
and by artist I wish to include all art media (writing, photography, drawing, painting, sculpting, and so on ...) sometimes art can reflect a desired feeling or emotion but you cannot create a masterpiece by feeling nothing at all You can't fake your emotions, as an artist ( I'm not one but my friend is trying to become one) you need to get raw with you feeling and let it all out, then when it is on paper or canvas you can tailor it to what you want it if at all. I've never tried to create anything NOT based on the way I feel. It's just how I am. Some of the most famous artists used to fake their emotions because they know it sells. i drawand paint......if your drawing is a subject something other than yourself......i think its pretty easy to detatch from your feelings, and concentrate on the emotion of the artwork......... My art is always a reflection of my emotions. the best art is cathartic and is used to work out the artist's genuine feelings and be universally understood at the same time. do something original and unique and others will relate to it. if it's fake no one will identify with it. good question!, let's see.....i like many things but they do not reflect how i feel!!....it doesn't matter if am sad or happy....the thing that matters is what i want to see or hear right now! dunno No the source of my art is my emotions I do both photography and writing, and it is very hard to fake an emotion, you can't write about being happy when you are depressed or upset. I prefer art forms that I can feel, and it is very hard to feel a fake emotion. Sometimes it just works though. Such an interesting question! As a visual designer it's a bit different because you are often just making something that looks cool, so you can always do that no matter how you feel, it's just style that you are creating. |
