What Do You Think Of Sally Mann's Photography?

I personally think her work is artistically profound. Though that is in the eye of the beholder. i.e. others observations could differ to "kiddie porn". Depending their state of mind. I'm not sure I would be comfortable with my future child(ren) posing for such photos, then posting them up on the net for all to see. Nevertheless, I do view her work as art and believe her to be very artistic. What are your views?

yes, i find it artistic as well... they are usually nude, but it's more artistic than pornographic... it doesn't have a sexual feel to it.

It may be artistic, and it may not be sexual in nature, that does not make it right. It is exploitation of children for profit and it is child pornography. I feel sorry for the children in her pictures because they are being treated like a subject rather than a human being. They have a right to dignity just like the rest of us and they are not old enough to make the decision about their right to privacy. And their parents are accepting this exploitation of their children?! Never in a million years would I accept such a fate for my children.

Put it in perspective. If you were involved in a bitter custody dispute with your ex and you put your children up for sale like this, who do you think the judge is going to see as the more fit parent? If you answer that question objectively you have to admit that a judge wouldn't see allowing this sort of thing as in the best interest of the child.

The woman should be prosecuted.
