What books can you recommend on Branding, Advertising, Layout, Photography & Design? Other than your typical Photoshop/Adobe books. I am looking for a series of different Authors/Styles that have had sucess in the field of art and what has made their style stand out from the rest of the world? I hope you don't mind me answering once again ;-)
None of the following has anything to do with Photoshop or computers or anything technical.

David Ogilvy is the king of advertising:

One of my favorites is Guy Kawasaki, former Apple evangelist. He writes about marketing, advertising and branding, and startup/entrepreneurialism.
His style isn't stuffy, very easy to read, humorous, uses real world examples to explain his ideas, and he seems like a nice guy. You'll know what I mean if you ever pick up a book of his.
