I'm in year 9, and I have to reasearch a "subtle and simplicity" artist for my art lesson. That means simple shapes and sublte colours.
I love Andy Worhol, and a lot of my photography has been compared to his work.
I doubt it, but I was just wondering, would you class Andy Worhol as "sublte and simplicity"?
Sorry for misspelling of "Worhol."
Thankyouu. I would not- sorry to disappoint. His colors are very bright and I'd say he kind of bangs you over the head with everything.
What an odd criteria!
Do Agnes Martin!
check it out!
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=... No. Where did you get the impression that "Hole" was simple or in any way subtle? If Mondrian is famous, subtle and simple, why wouldn't Andy Warhol won't be too? No, he's a midget who wore funny glasses. No sorry!
His paintings have bright, vibrant colours with an eyecatching design.
I think there great and im pricing them up to have one done of my daughter in that design. I agree with the others, I wouldn't pick Warhol for 'subtle and simplicity'
How about Giorgio Morandi, there is plenty of information about him on the web if you search, will just put a bit here from the Tate website:
Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964) is one of the most admired Italian painters of the twentieth century, known for his subtle and contemplative paintings, largely of still lifes. From the Metaphysical paintings of his early years, to the nearly abstract canvases made in the 1960s, Morandi engaged in a lifelong attempt to seize reality through the familiar.
Working from his studio in Bologna, a place he rarely left for long, Morandi used the same simple elements, including bottles, boxes, and the view from his window, staging a seemingly endless array of variations. His paintings appear to transcend time and place, an effect he achieved by removing labels from his bottles, faces from his clocks, and people from his landscapes. In fact, many of Morandi's works can be read as arrangements of pure form. Andy Warhol and pop art sixties he had a warehouse producing his work
he called his work fifteen minutes of fame, something every body wants,
