I need to research any artist (painting, photography, etc) not musical artist...for an art project. We will research them and use some of their art in our sketchbook. If anyone knows (not personally) any unique artists please let me know! I have googled some and havn't really found anything. For example: some one in another class used an artist that used scrabble peices in her paintings. Thanks in advanced!! Charles Wysocki was a well-known Americana artist who was incredibly talented at painting the finest of details. He was unique in his notable style, preciseness and beautiful colors he utilized in everything he ever did.

He passed away a few years ago; his family still runs his website. What about the "artist" that has a current exhibit in San Francisco that uses cadavers and uses them as a science/art exhibit. Von Hagens- Body Worlds. It is a deconstruction of the human form done in a tactful way. The veins and tissues with fluids are replaced with a type of plastic that keeps all of the systems in place. The artwork gets a lot of criticism but it also shows the wonderful connection between art and science. |
