Does anyone think the "suicide girls" fad is disgusting?

It bothers me that the concept of suicide is thrown around casually, and even glorified.

Does it occur to these people that suicide is the act of one KILLING themselves?

Whats next, abortion photography as an art form?

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous?

While I think suicide is a personal choice, I doubt most who do it are considering anyone else's feeling at the time really.

Those who are & are more playing a martyr role, rarely go through with it...they do something that will only cast attention on them, not actually take them out.

Those who want to go, truly want to...just do, there are several quick options to take yourself out & be successful in the attempt.

...but glorifying that decision is likely not a good idea, no need to make it more of a spectacle than it already might be.

Some people are pretty impressionable, I can't see it as being of any value or necessary to use a name such as that.

Next there will be a band named "Razorblade Relief"...and they'll all be cutters with large gashes and scars running down their arms...Eegads already.

When I was young, we used to mix a few different sodas and call it a suicide, we never thought about it having to do anything with a cowardly way to die.
Its a free country, and those girls have a very original look. They are not killing themselves in the pic, so your abortion photography question has nothing to do with the Suicide Girls.

i think the fad of the suicide girls is awesome - it shows that everyone's concept of beauty isn't the same - these girls aren't airbrushed perfect barbie dolls,they represent the flip side of beauty - the opposite of what cosmo magazine tells us is beauty.

as for the name,come on - must people take everything literally - lots of things are named after something not pleasant - don't be so judgmental.

Suicide girls doesnt promote suicide, it's actually a term taken from a book that was used to describe "goth" type chicks.

suicidegirls.com showcases non-mainstream beauty, and theres NOTHING wrong with that
