Lets just be Honest? |
I have been working since i was 17, and Im now 25.Ive always done secretary work that is not what i wanna do at all! Im a creative person, into art and culture and sitting around all day is just no me... My real goals are to get a photography and visual arts degree and work abroad, maybe in a travel magazine or something, as a photographer. Be honest: is it too hard to be sucessful in this business? Thankx ;) Please trust and heed what I am about to tell you for I speak from years of experience.... Probably, but it's not hard to get onto a degree if you can come up with the funding and from there getting into the photographic industry becomes much easier. yes, now make the tea and take a letter............ forget the degree take the photo's and let your work speak for itself and you will still be able to work full time or jack the job in and do something else Are you in the Uk?...if you are you can do an Open University degree part-time, from home and not have to give up working. Apart from that I would say do as the person said above - do some work and build up a portfolio. Maybe the 'Artists and Writers Yearbook ' can help you find an outlet. Truth is though: it will take blood-sweat-tears to really make it and you shouldn't start unless really motivated and willing to sacrifice. Can you put in 3 hours a night study? etc |
