What is fine art prints/mounted mean?

deals with photography

Fine Art Prints, just means Arty images, not documentary or snap shot images. Mounted, just means has cardboard frame around it- ready to put in a frame!

Fine art prints are usually a limited number of reproductions of a piece of original artwork or photography often signed and numbered by the artist's own hand on a lower corner of the print. Mounted means it has a "cardboard" mat frame and probably a cardboard backing and is ready to be framed.

Do not use cardboard with art work. It's not archival. Use acid free mat board. Mounted usually means the photograph is drymounted to a piece of matboard. (a sheet of glue is placed between the print and board, then is placed in a drymount press where heat and pressure is applied)
Mounted can also mean the photograph is simply taped to the matboard..
