There is no theme. I just want to know what should I do. I love photography and I love working with charcoal. A photo of what? And a charcoal piece of what?
My sister did a really cool M&M and skittle candy art of a tree and then one of a bird. I want to do something super cool like that and I don't know how or what I should do? Any suggestion are appreciated. It's May. Why not a Maypole and its history? It would be colorful and fun... but you reminded me, somebody told me of someone they saw once at Atlantic city, and they would with a magnifying glass, and the sun , do a person,s portrait for a $ sum
do something with statuary, and deep shadows , i do not know,do what you feel, look at old black and white photos of monster movies from the fifties Since coal is your favorite medium, why don't you do a piece
on coal and it's many derivatives. You could actually
incorporate pieces of coal in your drawing for dimension
and effect...or, you could make pieces of coal out of paper
mache, stacking them in a pile, painting them, putting a red
light inside and attaching tiny pieces of mirror to the bottoms
to reflect the light. You could call it, "Coalition". If the coals
were glued close together, you might even be able to do
one drawing across all of them in a disjointed manner
that would be seen as a whole from a distance. |
