Looking for a new digital camera--HELP!?

I've been looking for a new digital camera recently and im wondering whats the BEST "trendy" looking one that has more than 4x optical zoom??? I've been doing a lot of looking on my own but could really use some advice!

I'm also not caring about prices right now i just need some ideas

mine is a vivitar. vivicam 5386/it has 5.0 mega pixels, 205 LCD monitor and a 3x optical zoom. mine was $120 at Wal-mart. i know you said more than 4x zoom. but mine takes great pictures. i can send u a sample pic. if u want to know how good the quality of the pic. is. i wouldn't send a person pic. though.

Trendy is not the way to choose a camera. The more megapixels does not insure excellent image quality. For anyone to help you it's advisable to mention how much you're willing to spend and what kind of photography you'll be doing. So spend another 10 points and be more elaborate.
