Video Camera, Camcorder,Digital Camera?

What video camera,camcorder,or digital camera (with video record) would be best for making a movie and is easy to edit on the computer and download onto the internet?

If you are going to be makining films, like real films, with a storyline and everyhting, I would suggest the Sony DCR-VX2100. I am not only suggesting this camcorder because I own it, but because it is extremely good. It has been reviewd several times as the best SD prosumer camcorder on the market. But if you are making a move to HD, I would suggest the HDR-FX1. Both are at a cheap price range.

If you are looking to make films, as in films made by filming your family, you are probably not going to even glance at what I mentioned above, because of their prices. I would suggest staying under the $1000 range. The only good camcorders under that range are made by Sony and Panasonic. For good video quality, look for 3CCD, and a mic input (Because if you are looking for good sound quality as well, I suggest not to use the on-board mic.)

The easiest ones will record directly onto a DVD. Canon makes excellent products, Check them out. Be advised that the cameras that record onto DVD are more expensive.

First off, stay away from a digital camera that offers video recording. You are extremely limited in the amount of recording you can do, and the quality never turns out right.

Video cameras and camcorders are the same thing. It all dpepnds on your budget. However here are some things to look at...

Tape Format: MiniDV (The highest quality image on tape!)

Brands: I prefer Sony when you're looking at consumer model cameras. However, if you have enough cash (and don't mind a larger camera) I prefer Canon in the pro/sumer catagory.

To stay under $1000, stick with a Sony. I have NEVER had problems with them, and they are easy to use. You can get these at any local electronics store, like Best Buy or Circuit City.
